Hi... I have a dell computer windows xp... Recently it has been running very slow and if i log in it takes ages for the internet to come up... When I log out and someone else in my Family logs in the start taskbar won't show up... So we have to pull out the plug to restart it... On the computer we have Zone Alarm Security and Sygate Personal Firewall... Is there anyone that can help... 10 points for bext answer xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...

without knowing what you may have downloaded in the past few days or what download may be causing the problem,either remove what you may have downloaded and or, since you are running XP,go to the hhelp and support and under tasks,do a system restore to a previous date things were running smoothly...
windows XP comes with a very complex file system and alot of the downloads do not comply with XP,alot of fix issues at microsoft with different issues of this nature,but its easier to restore..

Yor probably got viruses or spyware on your computer. I suggest you download both a spyware removal tool and an anti-virus. You can find many free ones on www.download.com
