Computer viruses... can some one help me?

i am in a grade 12 computer business class... and my project is on viruses, i know of trojan viruses, but are there any more, and if yes, how do they work? i am a newbie when it comes to computers, but be as technical as you want... please help me!!!!

i asked the same question before, but no one is answering, and i need this info for tommorow or i'm screwed...Please help me...

or just give me the names of viruses and i will look them up on wikipedia...

well a trojan isn't a virus for starters, it doesn't replicate.

there are email viruses, peer to peer viruses, macro viruses, old *.exe infector viruses, boot sector viruses etc.
