Hi. I have AVG free version the latest one, and I have about 12 viruses which show up in various folders . These are NOT windows folders where you might expect hidden files etc. These are actualyl download folders for a P2p client I use ''emule'' . many of the files in such a folder are zip files etc, but they arent inside zips either (and they would tell if they were) ... So where are all these viruses hiding? I did a windows seach for the words and file name AVG claims they are , but they don't come up that way either. Thanks.

Is it possible that AVG removed the viruses for you?

I also have AVG, and i was looking for the vault and then it turns out that its a hidden file. open up the hard drive that AVG was installed in, and turn on hidden files. it should come up as $VAULT$.AVG.

to see hidden files on My Computer, go to tools%26gt;folder options%26gt;view and there should be an option that says ''show hidden files or folders'' but i seriously recommend that you dont tamper with files in the vault. AVG wouldn't have hidden them in the first place if it was that dangerous. Messing would the vault can open the virus or a lot worse, so leave things to the program.
