Does anti virus software actually kill the viruses inside files?

Basically my phone had gone wierd and it turned out there were viruses on the memory card cos i have songs of limewire etc. so now its fine but i dont want the same thing to hppen so wil the anti virus stop viruses, Like on limewire And stuff like that.

means ur pc is directly connected to others pc..

so chance of getting infected is very high..

either use a good anti-virus (Bitdefender or Nod32 ranks top in anti-virus) and keep updating it once in a month.

Everyday around 70 viruses are created globally and only 4 anti-virus are taken in a week.. so imagine.

A virues remains silent.. and then it becomes active according how it is programmed...

maybe virus still exist in ur file..

I guess viruses are files themselves. Perhaps they are deleted rather than removed from other files.

you cant kill information. Just erase and eliminate it....
Depending on your settings. Some will clean the virus leaving the file it added itself into intact, or it will delete the file if it can't clean it and 3rd it may quarantine the virus till there is a method to remove it.
NO COZ IT ONLY REMIND U THAT THIS FILE CONTINE VIRUS SO JUST DELETE THE FILE. AND DON`T DOWNLOAD ANY ANTI-VIRUS FROM INTERNET JUST GO OND BUY ONE INSTALL IT AND RELEX HAVE FUN

Do you have antivirus software on your cell phone? If it quarantined the file, then you should be ok. I don't think cell phones have antivirus software though.
your antivirus software knows the current virueses and when it detects it it prevents it fom installing
