Are temp.htt,folder.htt,thumb.db viruses?

hi,

I have dual boot WinXP Pro %26 Win98,

i have avg as my antivirus n zonealarm as my firewall.

i would like to ask whether the followings are virus or what?

1.temp.htt

2.folder.htt

3.desktop.ini

4.thumb.db

i usuall see them invisible...i think desktop.ini is an ok file but rest? what are they?

i try to delete temp.htt but it keeps on multiplying.

whnever i try to write a cd/dvd with nero i see that temp.htt in almost each of my folder as a hidden file.

is it a virus? or are they viruses? if yes then how to remove them.

my avg does not recognise them as viruses.

any small tool to remove them once n for all?

or any good hardcore antivirus that detects smallest of the bugs?

pls dont suggest norton as my pc config is 863Mh,384 RAM,P-3

are they viruses?what are they,if possible explain in detail PLS,n if they r virus how to remove them..any sleek tool available?
