Its is illegal to create a virus that will seek out other viruses and destroy them?

I was wondering i know viruses are illegal under the computer misuse act for harmfull intend but would that rule or anyother law apply to a virus that seeks out other viruses (say on the internet) and destroy them. Also would it make a difference to the outcome of the answer if the virus fixes some of the damage done by the virus.

your question is a weird one....but if I'm reading it correctly why call it a virus? why not call it something like the ''virus killer'' or ''the virus hunter'' it would then be a worm wouldn't it? using the word virus would indicate that it is malicious therefore it would be illegal, but if you were to call it something else and advertise it as a virus killer that seeks out and destroys viruses then I think you would have a business that could make you millions. Please, as the guy before me mentioned let me know when you start this new business and the name so I can get in on the ground floor and become a millionaire with you. Probably illegal because it would be classified as a predator. But if you are that much of a genius, and are on the verge of turning the computer world on it's head, let me know before your company goes public some I can buy some stock.

according to the U.S. govornment, all virusus are illegal to create, no matter what the purpose of the virus is. this is because the outcome could seem like it was good, but it could secretly benefit the creator of the virus.

if u have u r a liscenced chemist with a liscense in that AREA of chemistry and the virus has ben approved by the FDA ur gud to go. any of these missing, ur goin 2 jail. if u had gone thru all these steps they prolly woulda told u this stuff. also make sure u get a patent 2 bcuz ppl will try n take ur gr8 product n make $ off it. u definitly don want that!!!! som1 else takin credit for somethin UU spent so much time on..! also if its a virus, its illegal cuz it jus causes problems. if it fights viruses its an antivirus, which is legal if u go thru all these steps. gud luck einstein!!!
