Question about viruses:?

my computer was full of viruses so i restarted it and cleaned it all out....now its fine! i was using "limewire" downloading music and i think thats were i got all the viruses from but something i dont understand this site called "mcafee site adivisor" is a site were you can type in a website before you go on it to see if the site has viruses on it...so i typed in "limewire"and it says its clear from viruses....so someone told me you probley got the viruse from downloading the music of other peoples computer and they have viruses would that be rite? help im confused :(

Yeah the website its self is clear of viruses but the software you download is not. Software is not a website, mcafee site adviser checks if websites are OK not software on your PC.
McAfee Site Advisor will scan a website and see if there are any potential dangers for you. When you told it to scan Limewire, it scanned the Limewire website and found no dangers.

But the thing is, the stuff that you download using Limewire (the application that you install in your computer) does not come from the Limewire website itself but from other users like yourself-- hence the term, "file sharing".
