Viruses are different from all other forms of life on our planet. They attack all life, even bacteria! Scientists can't even agree whether they are even 'alive' or not. some scientists think that they are nonliving because, "they do not meet all the criteria of the generally accepted definition of life." http://www.uvm.edu/~biology/Classes/011/... and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virus
These viruses, these 'organisms' do not seem like they came from our planet. All living things have a place in the food chain (they all have preditors), but not viruses. It seems as though viruses were brought to Earth from some where else along time ago.

Are viruses really aliens?live update
sure, whatever floats your boat. A lot of the materials here on earth crash landed from meteors. there are entire layers of strata that were created when the moon was formed. Its not really that unusual.
Are viruses really aliens?norten
I don't believe they came from outer space or some alien species brought them here, chances of making contacts with alien beings are very remote. Viruses are the product(by-product?) of evolution. They are what we may call freaks in the evolutionary chain.
(True Fact)
