Norton anti-virus won't delete Internet viruses!?

I have norton anti-virus. It came with a trial version of norton internet security. Recently, the free trial of internet security expired. Now viruses have implanted themselves onto my computer from the internet. I delete them, but everytime I turn my computer back on, they're still there. The worst thing is that when I scan my computer, norton doesn't detect the viruses. I tried scanning them individually, but nortom anti-virus says that it can't scan internet files. So my questions are:

1) Can I change those internet files into regular files so that norton can scan them. If so, how?

2) If not, how do I get norton to delete them?

3) Is there a free trial of norton internet security on the website? If so, what's the link. I had the 2006 version.

Norton has the most to gain from computer viruses... have you ever wondered who actually makes them?

i don't understand what you mean by "internet files". are they JPGs, MP3s, etc? they should be deleteable.

Sorry, but it sounds like you'll need to take your computer in for service.

Sometimes I think Norton is the virus. It slows down my computer and never deletes any viruses.
