My computer locked me out by asking for Administrator password, but I never set one up. I have someone at work in the IT checking it out for me (works at home on side). Says he retrieved password, but my computer has MANY viruses. I've had virus protection running for yrs. He was telling me he'd bring it "tomorrow"...he's now had my computer over a week and keeps telling me it has MANY viruses - making it hard to fix %26 taking longe. I get the feeling he's trying to get more money out of me. Once a computer has a virus, isn't it usually just one - maybe two, OR can it have so many at once? Does that sound odd? My virus protection was updated and periodically would catch a virus.

You can get more than one virus. Are you using Norton antivirus? I quit using it because Nortons was missing viruses.
One time I had 347 viruses, and it took two weeks to get all of them off. They sometimes immediately reproduce as soon as you try to delete them. I also help family and friends get viruses off their computer and one time I had a friends laptop and she had a virus on it that changed the language to Japanese. That took about four days to fix, then I was able to see the other 13 viruses she had and as soon as the virus scan got rid of them, her computer was in Japanese again. It took about two weeks all together to fix it.
