Viruses and Cells?

Why does it make sense that viruses are smaller than cells?

Why is it not surprising that some viruses are bigger than some prokaryotes?

Are viruses living and why?

It makes sense that viruses are smaller than cells because they reproduce by copying themselves inside of a cell until the cell bursts. Some viruses are bigger than some prokaryotes as they have evolved to replicate on larger eukaryotic cells whose organelles are believed to have been prokaryotic in origin. I would say that a virus is living as it contains nucleotides which it uses to reproduce albeit in specific environments and has a limited capacity to change to varying environmental conditions.

You know some facts are reality you couldn't say why.I mean they are smaller than cells may be because that lots of them infect the cell by going inside it (some of them don't)but it isn't a reason it is a suggestion. The fact is that they are smaller.

But they're not alive because they don't have a lot of characteristics of a living thing for example:They couldn't grow, they don't have homeostasis, they don't have any metabolism inside.
a lot of viruses depend on bacteria. they dont attact humans . they attack bacteria and live insid e them. they are known as phages. in georgia (former soviet replublic) they are used as an alternative to antibiotics to cure disease. since they are esenntially cell parasites makes sense that they are smaller.
